System Requirements

Oracle Developer Studio 12.5 software can be installed on Oracle Solaris 10 or Oracle Solaris 11.3 operating system on SPARC-based or x86-based platforms, or on the Oracle Linux operating system.

VM Support
Oracle Solaris 11.3 SRU09 (or later) running as a zone, LDOM or Kernel zone.
Oracle Solaris 10 1/13 as a zone or LDOM
Supported Client Systems
For installing the distributions of the IDE or Performance Analyzer for remote use
Client systems running IDE, Performance Analyzer, Code Analyzer, and dbxtool must have the minimum Java version installed
Java Version
Java 7 or Java 8 JDK 64-bit version - minimum version determined by security updates

Note -  The sunpro-incorporation package with the necessary updates to support the Oracle Developer Studio 12.5 release is provided in the Oracle Solaris 11.3 Release repository available to all customers. See the Oracle Developer Studio 12.5: Installation Guide for instructions on updating the sunpro-incorporation package on your Oracle Solaris 11.3 system.
