Analyzing Trends in the CFO KPI Income Statement Dashboard
The CFO KPI Income Statement Dashboard shows the Income Statement key performance indicators (KPIs) by periods, quarter, or full year. The dashboard also shows year-over-year (YoY) percentage variances for each KPI. The dashboard includes trend graphs for:

net income and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) trends
-
revenue trends by Customer and Item
-
OpEx trends by Account and Department
This section gives general instructions for using these interactive subforms in the CFO KPI Income Statement Dashboard:

YoY $ Change – Shows the Income Statement KPIs for the selected fiscal year. These KPIs include total revenue, cost of sales, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), and net income.
EBITDA is calculated as:
EBITDA = (Ordinary Income ÷ Expense) + (Total Depreciation ÷ Amortization Expense)

YoY % Change – Shows the YoY percentage variances for each Income Statement KPI for the selected Subsidiary, Currency, and Year.

Rev/Exp/COGS Trend – Shows Net Income trends.

EBIT Trend – Shows the earnings before interest and taxes trend.

Rev by Customer – Shows the revenue trends by Account for the Customer category, with an option to drill down to individual Customer trends.

Rev by Item – Shows the revenue trends by Account for the Item category, with an option to drill down to individual Item trends.

OpEx by Account – Shows the operating expense trends by expense Account for the selected expense Department. The form includes an option to drill down to individual expense Account trends.

OpEx by Department – Shows the operating expense trends by Department for the selected expense Account. The subform includes an option to drill down to sub-department trends.
To analyze the Income Statement KPIs and trends:
Maximize or refresh each trend graph by clicking the Maximize icon 
or Refresh icon in each subform

From the Home page, click the Reporting and Analytics card.

To open the CFO Dashboards, click the 4 tab on the left.

Click CFO KPI Income Statement Dashboard.

In the Point of View, choose a Version, Subsidiary, Currency, and Year.

Review the YoY $ Change and YoY % Change subforms. You can change the Period.

Review the trends in each interactive subform for the selected year.

(Optional) Drill down to individual trend details in the graphs for these subforms:

Rev by Customer

OpEx by Account

OpEx by Department
To drill down to individual trend details in a subform, click a specific line in the graph or click a specific name in the legend.
